Re: U.S. members please remember
To all those who have shed *****, lost limbs and extremities, and especially for those that paid the ultimate price for this country and for democracy, I most humbly and sincerely thank you.
To all those who were left behind through the misfortunes of war, through capture by the enemy, who lost their lives while your fellow soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines might yet carry on, I most humbly and sincerely thank you.
To all those who stood tall in the heat of battle; who were humbled, scared, uncertain, and unsure, yet still remained at their post and carried out their duty as members of this great nation's military, I most humbly and sincerely thank you.
I salute and honor each individual - man or woman - who has worn a uniform, carried out a duty, sworn an oath, fought in a battle, and remained true, even when criticized and castigated by your fellow countryman.
Each of you, in some small way, has left an indelible mark upon this nation's history. Each of you helped to ensure that our country remains and continues to evolve and move on.
I thank each one of you, whether ****** on or still alive, who served this beautiful, wonderful country of ours.
May God bless each one of you.
Finally, to those who were left behind in the hands of the enemy:
YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN.
