It'd be like if my great-grandparents moved BACK to Germany in 1943, and expected everything to be fine and dandy.
But that comment is mostly about Floridians. Carolina doesnt get hit too much, and with days of warning.. well, ya cant save people from themselves if they just chill on the beach.

Sometimes you don't get the option to leave if your job tells you that you're going to stay and evacuate with them.

Or if you're in a nursing home or similar facility. That tragic situation in the Florida nursing home was truly heartbreaking.
