I finally borrowed it from a friend and watched it. I need to get my own copy now so I can add it to my zombie collection.

For the EMPEROR!!
It's not great, but it's not bad either.

I didn't mind it, .. but I just love zombie flics.

Woody Harrelson was the reason and still is the reason to watch this movie.

The two girls are really REALLY annoying so they are. Yes Emma Stone would get bummed so much she'd not be able to sit for a week afterward. But in the movie her character was a rash!. And that permed poof that hung about with Woody Harrelson was just a Woody wannabe.

Great movie for a low budget film.

Wrong. Spaced is one of the best sitcoms ever. Likewise Shaun of the Dead is brilliant, Hot Fuzz not as good but still way better than most so-called comedies.

Where on earth were the jokes in Zombieland? It felt like it was made by people who don't have a clue about zombie movies, just jumping on the bandwagaon. & like a lot of american stuff it had a cloying & cheesy obsession with family, exemplified in that awful closing voiceover & the stuff about Woody's backstory, which was just thrown in there for a minute & then forgotten about so he could go back to being 'hilarious'.

Wrong nothing. Spaced is as funny as a fucking fire in an orphanage. Spaced is like watching paint dry just like everything else that unfunny little fuck Pegg has done!. And Shaun of the Dead is the poster child for the overrated and extremely over-hyped.

I love when people harsh on a fucking comedy about zombies.

It's like saying "I didn't care for Rocky because real boxing techniques weren't explored throughout the film and the boxing itself was just background to the half cocked love story."

Zombieland is a zombie based action comedy. If you don't get the jokes then that's your fault; if you don't like the plot then you're taking something that's tongue and cheek to seriously. If you don't like the characters you're not remembering what the movies about.

By that logic, nobody should hate any movie because it's their fault if they don't get the jokes, or they're taking it too seriously or they're putting to much emphasis on the characters. That doesn't make any sense. You're saying, if someone doesn't like the movie...it's their fault? I can appreciate a movie for what it is, whether it's slapstick, B movie horror or whatever. Zombieland is just a studio trying to cash in on the flavour of the week actor, (Jesse Eisenberg) with the flavour of the week theme (zombies). And people act like the Bill Murray cameo was some Oscar winning performance. :1orglaugh

It was an unfunny teen romance hidden behind the popular zombie setting. But I probably just didn't get the jokes, or took the plot to seriously. amirite?

They were gonna make a sequel but now they are gonna make it into a tv series instead. Guess they're trying to cash in on the success of The Walking Dead lol. I can't see it lasting if they have it on Fox though.
