I love when people harsh on a fucking comedy about zombies.
It's like saying "I didn't care for Rocky because real boxing techniques weren't explored throughout the film and the boxing itself was just background to the half cocked love story."
Zombieland is a zombie based action comedy. If you don't get the jokes then that's your fault; if you don't like the plot then you're taking something that's tongue and cheek to seriously. If you don't like the characters you're not remembering what the movies about.
By that logic, nobody should hate any movie because it's their fault if they don't get the jokes, or they're taking it too seriously or they're putting to much emphasis on the characters.
That doesn't make any sense. You're saying, if someone doesn't like the movie...it's their fault? I can appreciate a movie for what it is, whether it's slapstick, B movie horror or whatever. Zombieland is just a studio trying to cash in on the flavour of the week actor, (Jesse Eisenberg) with the flavour of the week theme (zombies). And people act like the Bill Murray cameo was some Oscar winning performance. :1orglaugh
It was an unfunny teen romance hidden behind the popular zombie setting. But I probably just didn't get the jokes, or took the plot to seriously. amirite?
