I don't think you have to have a superiority complex to have a preference for your own ethnicity. Sexual selection is rooted to a survival instinct. We make judgments on a number of characteristics, it's not unbelievable that ethnicity is included.

On the issue of race in America, it's quite sad that it's at the stage it is. …but to raise the question, if you're willing to say that this chica has an ingrained sense of white superiority due to her environment and upbringing, is it not fair to say the same might be thought by blacks? I wasn't making any points on white exploitation/black gratification. I was referring to cultural and environmental upbringings - claiming it for one party but, not denying it for the other - just simply not mentioning it.

Well again, I'm certain what she means is different from what she said. I doubt this girl knows that all Muslims are not Arabs and that some Arabs are Christian. I doubt she understands how many Muslims are Caucasian (for example). I even doubt she's seen many Muslims in her life so then the question becomes what is the basis for this visceral hatred she is at least demonstrating. You have to conclude based on the question she's conflating Muslim and terrorist and/or Al Quaeda as her only experience is likely gleaned from what she's seen of terrorists on t.v. I think without having any in depth knowledge about what she was asked (by morons if you ask me) she said what she believe was politically correct...and she receive the corresponding response (or carrot) for her answer.

Either way, at some point we have to separate when obvious the idiocy of what some say from the reality of what we believe they really think.

Many or most people would probably prefer/feel more comfortable in a relationshp with someone of their own ethnicity & that's nothing out the ordinary. :dunno:
