Of course you didn't vote for Reagan. If your age is correct...you weren't old enough. Was that one of those, "say something technically correct but misleading" things?
If the economy was going from bad to worse...of course it would be worse now that it was 2 and a half years ago as it was likely worse a year and a half ago than it was 2 and a half years ago as well.
Just like it was better 2 and a half years as prior to Reagan's term at the same point in office and worse a year and a half after he took office than when he took office. Just like under Obama.
The difference is it continued to get worse under Reagan (for another year) at the year and a half point whereas it has already peaked so far and has gone down under Obama.
First of all, I never compared the two. Reagan had a full 8 years to do whatever he did. This is only Obama's year and a half point. Secondly...I'm not the one cherry picking...this issue now is unemployment and that's what people are complaining about. My point is in comparing the unemployment circumstances between the two...to this point it was worse under Reagan.
You want to add in the inflationary index, cold war and blah blah blah...I say okay fine...just tell me how that impacts unemployment more so than a bankrupt financial system and bankrupt auto industry?
Reagan inherited the cold war (something inherited by several presidents before him)...and that was worse than inheriting two wars with boots, bullets, and bombs flying??
Give it up C4TB...Save your credibility.:2 cents:
Or you can cherry pick the issues like then we can line them up your way and see what's more reasonable. I'm game.
For the love of God, I hope he isn't. I would hate to see Obama admitting gross dereliction of office to his country (putting it nicely) for being ignorant of the fact that his administration was brokering weapons deals within the borders of an enemy country.
