Your most frustrating gaming moments.

Don't know if this tread has been done or not and I'm just too lazy right now to search for it so here we go.

The one that tops my list is in the game Prince Of Persia 3 when you are fighting that giant dude with no bottom jaw in the big courtyard area.I trying to beat that boss countless times to absolutely no avail.I'm pretty sure that there was some sort of glitch in the game because I read countless gaming boards about that particular boss and a ton of people had the same trouble.Even when I followed the steps to the letter on how to beat that boss,I still couldn't do it,so finally I just gave up and never played the game again, which is a shame because up until that point,it was a really good game but I just couldn't endure the torture any longer.

what the fuck you lookin at?
I'm living one right now. I'm playing mx vs atv untamed and the fucking game freezes at the load screen on the second race regardless of the series! I'm so fed up with this shit now! It even did it to me online. I think it's the disk, or at least it better be the fuckin disc! I'll be pissed the fuck off if my 360 takes a shit on the eve of GTAIV!

most of my frustrating gaming moments are related to EA in some way (is anyone surprised?):

- BF2: there was a server disconnect bug which would randomly kick people from servers. EA acknowledged the problem after literally weeks had passed, only to tell the community that a patch would be released "in a few months"

- BF2142: steal all the good ideas from planetside, put them into BF, and sell the resulting mess as a full-priced game. it has all the same bugs as BF2, plus a few new ones. i uninstalled it but yesterday wanted to reinstall it (to play with a friend0, only for the game to tell me that i can't play because the CD is already registered to an account. my account, mind you, but the game would not accept my password. so i made a new account, but after i was done doing that it told me that the CD is already registered to a different account... my original account. i still cannot play.

- the battle for middle earth 2: sync errors that force you to quit an online game in progress happen about 50% of the time. it's been like that for years, and there are no more patches coming. the elven archers are also so extremely overpowered that everybody plays elves on certain maps, making it rather boring. he who upgrades his archers first, wins.

- command&conquer 3: i still have to use my laptop to play it online since my desktop won't connect to the lobby. i tried two routers and two NICs, but nothing. EA is aware of this and released 3 patches in 10 days when the game came out because practically half the community had connection issues, but i still cannot play on the desktop today. this is despite the fact that it's based on the exact same game engine as battle for middle earth...

there are more, but i gtg play some TF2 now... :)

Most of my seriously frustrating moments all occurred in one online game or another: mainly Halo 2 and 3. The problem with online FPSs is that any degree of lag at all will stop the "what you see is what you get" smoothness that's pretty much necessary for a good time. Nothing worse than dropping a fellow (and seeing the animation, hearing the noise) only to have the game suddenly repeal it due to a split-second's delay in packet transfer.

Actually, it bugged me so much so that I got rid of my Xbox 360 altogether. No joke. I'm just waiting for StarCraft II to come out so I can spend too many hours on it and then virtually consider my gaming career done.

Anytime I'm kicking ass in whatever game I'm playing and the power goes out before I can save.

My 360 got the red ring of death yesterday, right before I was about to put GTA4 into the system after attending the midnight opening to pick it up. What a waste of money for a game I cannot even play now. This is the 2nd red ring in less than a year. I'm through with Xbox.

when you're about to break 200 lines in tetris on the original nintendo and it's going so fast and you lose at 198 or 199. it's very frustrating.

Two I remember especially are the final level in Resident Evil: Veronica X where you had to kill the monster on the plane. I couldn't do it for the life of me.

And

A level in metal gear solid 3 that I have forgotten the details of, but because of it, I never did complete it.

Damn.... annoys me even now.

I remember finishing the final level of LOTR The Two Towers for PS2 with all 3 playable characters. (Arargorn, Legolas and Gimli)
The game would auto-save one final time before allowing me to replay any level with the 3 starting characters maxed-out with all their stats, as well a 4th additional character. (Isildur)

Guess what happened during that final save ?
The game crashed, causing the save-data to be currupted, meaning that I had to start all over again.

"Learning to Fly" (Pilot School) from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas comes to mind pretty quick and stands out the most. There were times I was so mad and frustrated because of this mission.

StormRuller

Nikki Benz: Simply the best #1!!
I'm playing the World Tour on Pro Evolution Soccer... there are some rounds that I've gone through that are really hard... but this one I'm on now it's impossible... I've tried already 6 or 7 matches and I'll play some more later!!

I have to beat Argentina Classic by 6 goals or more... the one I got closer was a 5-2 match!!!

That or the mission where you have to steal the fighter jet, or the offroad racing missions, especially the one where you have to do the race backwards

this will take the cake.
N64 or the old nintendo64 for those who don't know.
i'm playing the greatest wrestling game ever made (well 1 of the 2 ever made)
wrestlemania 2000. (the other was no mercy). anywho........
you go through your season just like the games nowadays. i created my own wrestler went through every single move to make MY GUY the most lethal with an unbelievable set of moves.
so at one point i get on someones bad side (i think vince i don't remember much from the game) and i get put into a 2 on 1 match vs members of DX.
it's HHH and X-pac vs Me. and you need to win this match to move on in the season you can't lose.
the 1st match i get my ass kicked within 5 minutes they both just pummel me.
2nd match more of the same i keep resetting after i lose
3rd match i try something different and take it outside the ring so i can't get pinned. but i can't get an offensive move in.
4th try outside the ring i get some moves in on X-pac but then they destroy me again.
5th and 6th match i can't get 1 single fucking offensive move in!!!!!
my blood is boiling now!!!!
7th match i actually start making progress....Oh just in the nick of time they again start getting Madden power...(you know where you can't stop the computer controlled player) and i can't get a move in!
THAT's IT!!!!!!! i unplug the controller wrap the end that goes into the system around my hand 2 times, go outside and proceed to smash the controller on my front walkway!!!!
the little rumble thingy flies all the way over the roof of my house into the backyard. the controller is smashed to smithereens....and i am just about foaming from the mouth!!!!
i go inside grab my wallet and keys and go for a "calming"ride to the local video game store for a new controller. (i was due for a new one anyway :1orglaugh )
came home took a deep breath, relaxed tried again and won the match.
i think it was more than 7 times though
that was my MOST FRUSTRATING GAMING MOMENT.

ps my friend actually bit a chuck out of the old N64 controller because he lost a game on the n64 baseball game.he bit into the plastic, chomped down and spit out about a half-dollar size piece of plastic from that controller!!

GTA always has a few missions that piss me off too! For example, anyone rob the bank in IV yet? It'll take a few tries to get through! But the pay off is very very nice!
