Very interesting topic, lessee here.....
Snake Plissken/Kurt Russell-Escape from New York.
Rooster Cogburn/John Wayne-True Grit.
John McClane/Bruce Willis-Die Hard.
Indiana Jones/Harrison Ford-Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Riddick/Vin Diesel-Chronicles of Riddick.
Jack Walsh/Robert DeNiro-Midnight Run.
These come to mind, I love the imagery of Darth Vader and Darth Maul, Hugh Jackman is great but the only character he has made a decent mark on is Wolverine.
Hell, for that matter a lot of actors make a character their own that it's hard for me to choose.
I love old movies, i mean old movies Humphrey Bogart, Edward G Robinson, Burt Lancaster, Charles Bronson, Alan Ladd, Richard Burton, Lee Van Cleef, Richard Widmark, actors that made a movie and made sure that you remembered it for a long time.
Nothing against today's movies, but i heard that New Line Cinema is wanting to remake Escape from New York with Gerard Butler playing Snake Plissken and i refuse to see it, nothing against Mr. Butler but Kurt Russell redefined the anti-hero badass with that role and i dont think anybody else should play the part as long as he's still alive....my opinion.
Some good choices here from you all, a fine diverse bunch.
