Electric Six started up in 2000. They just put out a new album. Their sound is retro so I can see how you would think that. Great band.

cheers! glad there's a like minded person on here...

yeah dire straits was a random thing to put in there.. but i have it playing and it popped into my head! i like a wide range of guitar music, but metal is where the heart is.
