Your choice after E3..

:glugglug: PS3 all the way! I've been looking at the games they are coming out with like Resistance, MGS4, Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm and Killzone and i have to say I am sold again. I heard Sony is gonna show playable games at the Tokyo Games show on the 22nd of this month. I hope they show Killzone!

Well now that Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft did their conference, what will be your choice?
Remember:
Wii equal totally new gameplay.
Playstation 3 equal Final Fantasy 13, Gran Turismo 5, Grand Theft Auto 4, Metal Gear Solid 4, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Eight Days, Killzone 2, Virtua Fighter 5, Tekken 6, Devil May Cry 3 and many great license. Plus Free Online and Hard Drive of 20 GB.
Xbox 360 it's Halo 3 and a lot of PC Games. :hatsoff:
personally I don't like FF , forza is better than GT , GTA is coming on the 360 at the same time , give me halo over killzone any day , dead or alive 4 is better than virtua and equally good to tekken , devil may cry is quite ordinary , and free online play will look like it's free by that I mean it won't have all the features that xbox live has . and by the way the ps3 hd will be 60gb and 20gb ( the xbox 360 has a 20gb ) . All I have said in this reply is of course in my humble opinion

I'm seriously considering an XBox this time around, though I'll most likely get the PS3.

I've had an Xbox 360 since February. In fact, I always joked it's the only Windows computer in my house.
Definitely going to pony up for the PlayStation 3 ASAP as well. Christmas gift from the wifey.

That would be good for xbox 360 and very bad for PS3 but , personally I'm not even sure if I would buy it for my 360 , MGS has really disapointed me ever since the second game came out . That's why Splinter Cell has and always will be better than MGS for me .

LOL. It's sure superior in the price department, I'll give you that. As well as having arrogant Presidents who think they're invincible and will take this gen without even trying. Boy is Sony in for a slap-in-the-face reality check.
They didn't learn after the failures of Beta max, mini disc, and UMD. And the way Blu-Ray is going right now, it seems that history is bound to repeat itself.
the Wii will be my first choice and then I would choose the PS3 as a second choice instead of the x360.
there is no great games on x360, the PS3 will have GT4, GTA4, MGS3
just for these 3 games I would buy a PS3.
But I wouldn't pay 700$ for this...

Nail in the coffin?? HAHA, the only system here that's in trouble is the PS3. $600 price tag. Blu-Ray already floundering against HD DVD. Oh, and that's what people said about the original Killzone too. "OMG THIS LOOKS SO GOOD THIS WILL KILL HALO AND XBOX" but it turned out to be a mediocre at best shooter that couldn't even touch Halo.
I thinks it funny how people think the ps3 is some much superior to the 360. It doesnt really matter even though it is false. People seem to forget that the ps2 had a bigger library of good games and out sold the xbox. The ps2 wasnt even close to the xbox spec wise though.
Yes and they alson don't understand that when game developpers create games that are multi-platform , they won't bother making a different version for the ps3 when they can pretty much use the same code and adapt it from one console to the other . So even if one is more powerful than the other , the multi platform games will pretty much look and play the same ( the exception being the wii for gameplay ) .
The older and heavily modified MIPS4000-based PS2 was not as good as the PC-based Xbox in hardware specifications. But this was largely due to the fact that the PS2 came much earlier than the Xbox. The PS2 hardware was sold at a profit by the time the Xbox appeared, and became a single IC within a year of the Xbox's introduction.
But the same does not apply in the PS3 v. Xbox 360.
Both are designs from IBM's foundary. Both are Power5 ISA-based. The Xbox 360 is a triple core while the PS3 is a single core with vector processors. While there has been a lot of debate on which is faster, it really matters what software engines and libraries are used. You'd be surprised if those libraries are tapped how performing the PS3 really is.
But I agree on the points about BluRay v. HD DVD. HD DVD adopts many established standards -- like UDF -- while BluRay tries to enforce its own filesystem (even though the latest UDF version has BluRay support now). The PS3's push to put millions of BluRay devices in homes may have backfired in not only costs, but the fact that they are much later to market.
Something that hurt the Xbox the first time around.
