I live in Whitehaven in Cumbria, which used to be a major harbour in the country and a major commerce asset. It was second only to London many years ago I think.

They started renovating and developing the harbour in the late nineties and we have a Maritime Festival every so often.

There isn't much to do round here and it is fairly isolated, but it's beautiful to take a walk round the coast/harbour areas on a warm evening. Or even during the day. I'll have to take some pictures of the cliff walk behind my house. You can see the Isle Of Man from my bedroom window on a clear day. :)

And here is where I work. Yes, that's right, Sellafield. :( Although it looks different now, some of the cooling towers are knocked down and some extra buildings are up.
