One of the things that showed me not everyone was alike was when our class went to a science workshop. There was a tesla coil and the instructor talked about how when you touch it your hair will stand up due to static. Well that happens for certain ethnicities, others not so much
This was covered in "The Men Who Built America". Also how J.P. Morgan ended up with Westinghouse. In "The Ten Things..." it talks on how Tesla started to work for Edison.Edison lost money to light up the Chicago World Fair in 1893 when Tesla and Westinghouse won the contract. Tesla's AC current won out from Edison's DC as the standard transmission mode in the United States.
