You are in a bank - it is being robbed - what do you do?

I was talking to a friend about this today and we couldn't agree.

You are in a bank.

It is being robbed by apparently armed men. The robbers seem unorganized and amateur.

You do not have anything valuable on you and you know no one in the bank.

You see that you have chance to, maybe, "take down" one of the robbers..

What do you do and why? (Post your answer quickly and don't over think it, if you can.)

I let them earn their money, that's their job. I don't really think that they're harming anyone, maybe the insurance companies which will have to pay some money to the bank.
On 2nd thoughts, I hate insurance companies, so I guess I'll try to help them if I can, the only reason I wouldn't, is that the river might take me to the court because the laws say you can help some people but spit on the rest.

Can't say I see any plausible scenario where I'd decide to do anything. If they seem incompetent enough for me to actually do anything, the police will probably get them anyway. Incompetent or not, they are still armed I'm not nearly stupid enough to do anything as heroic as risking my own and other peoples lives.

I wouldn't do anything. Attacking armed robbers may result in yourself or someone else being killed, and the money in the bank is really not worth it.

If I do not see any chance of stopping them and they are not harming anyone, I will lie on the floor and be quiet.

The banks are all insured, they will get their money back.




However if I see an innocent woman or child being harmed or about to be harmed (especially someone I know) and I see an oppertunity, I will take it and try to stop them. However, I realise I'm no Jack Bauer and will probably get killed... But I least I die a hero.

Most people would in any sudden life threatening situation. Probably take a minute or two for my wits and senses to return on what I actually should do/done.

I'd do the exact same as I would if someone did the same at work.

"Take it mate, it's insured and I'm not getting killed or injured for something that's not mine and insured" then I might just add "do you need a hand carrying it to the car"

Everyone is saying the same thing, however I mentioned something no one else has...

What if the robbers started hurting and killing innocent people. What would you do then?
