Several years ago, when Gisele was still a frequent poster in this thread and over in Talk, I would occasionally pop in and joke around with her ("George"). But as you correctly point out, over the years the tone of this thread did change. And as she was, by her own admission, going through some family issues, having people that you've never met (and never will meet) not just critique your appearance (hey, as a model, that comes with the territory), but be downright hateful in their criticisms and the rumors and lies that they spread, would bend, if not break, anyone.
As for myself, I didn't care for the tattoos, just because I don't like tattoos. But I never busted her chops about a decision that she made for herself. As for her weight, I like the more recent pics. I happen to think that as she was maturing, the extra weight was pretty damn yummy. Very early on, I joked with her that I'd buy her a double order of cheeseburgers and some donuts for desert if we ever met. Yeah, I would have turned her into a PAWG-lite.
She took the joke as it was meant. She was clearly a bright girl and she knew that different people (guys) like different things. And even though I'm sure that she knew that some of her fans were boys who'd never seen a woman (other than their mommy) mature and put on some pounds, the constant whining about an extra pound here or there probably did work on her last nerve from time to time. A woman's size will actually vary through the course of a month, for goodness sake. And as some of us know, there's probably not a more sensitive topic for ANY woman than her weight/size. I'm not saying that was the sole reason that she finally hung it up. But as most people do, she likely arrived at a point in life where the scales had tipped because of a variety of factors.But with all that said, again, I'm just glad that I was an occasional passenger on her internet ride. There's a handful of girls that have been gone for years (like Tracey from Dreamnet) that I still think about from time to time. I'm sure that ten years from now, I'll still pull up a pic of Gisele and :drool2: Hopefully she'll show up somewhere down the line and I can still ask, "Hey George, what's up, gearhead?"

:goodpost: I doubt very much it was an easy decision for her and certainly not based on just one or two things. I've personally been down the road of going into a business I loved and had many successful and satisfying years in and know how over time the perception of it can change fundamentally until the thrill is gone. It's called BURNOUT; I got it and have seen others get it so can recognize the signs readily. The only way to remedy it is to seek life elsewhere and not look back too often.
I think that's what happened with Gisele. She had nothing more to prove as a model unless she was to take the plunge into porn (which she steadfastly declined to do) and over time tired of the same grind of the very public life she'd created giving us hard-ons for membership dues and camshow tips. It showed in some of her later work by a slackening attention to the quality of the imagery and, yes, somewhat less commitment to keeping that fine body up to par, though I always thought the former a much more telling sign.
That she rode off into the sunset without much of a glance back at her "G-men" just completes the picture. At just 33 she has a lot of living to do yet and SHOULD be looking forward. :wave:
PS, don't feel alone about G's tats, Rey, I don't think they help her either. At least you didn't make the mistake I did once about gently knocking her doing a wake-up bed photo set where she was wearing heels. You'd think I'd know after 65 years not to EVER criticize whatever a woman chooses to do with shoes.
Yes, that's pretty much sums it up. But I think that one of the reasons why she decided to stop posting here was because some of us (yes, mea culpa) started criticising her lack of originality and imagination in most of her updates at the time (I'm talking about early to mid 2015). I remember she even replied a couple of times that she acknowledged some of this as true, and then...puff. That was it. Communication was off. Oh, well. C'est la vie.
Don't flay yourself over it, uchual. Gisele DID drop off in product quality about the same time she disappeared from here.
If there's any blame to pass around for us died-in-the-wool participants of this board it's that we may have unreasonably expected her stuff to just keep getting better and better, which of course it could not. Call it being seduced by wishful thinking, but it was never malicious.
Few here could be called anything other than true fans who loved her work. Why else are we still batting this around 6-7 months (and counting) after she herself quit the business?

Heck, I think even gay males could not help but admire the femininity and sex appeal of Gisele. And you are right, maybe her genre in adult modelling is called softcore, but there's nothing "soft" about her imagery and the intense allure that she exudes in it.
