Hotlinking is when you post an direct image from someone's site. That is a no-no because it uses up the person's bandwidth. It is alright to post images so long as the site is meant to host images, such as a FreeOnes gallery or image uploading sites like ImageBam.

Simply, hotlinking would be posting images from Eve's blog. And that would use up her bandwidth and most likely make her a sad panda.

We'd rather you just post a link to the gallery itself, and not hotlink the photo. That still uses up bandwidth.
