xbox vs. ps3

Wii sucks balls.. I'm about to sell mine..
I've been happy with PS1, 2 and 3 since PS came out.
Microsoft has enough money.

both got theyr own release games
for xbox forza motorsport
for ps3 gran turismo

i love my ps3 :D

The White Time Bomb [360] or the Black Ninja [PS3]?.

Well it sure as SHIT isn't going to be the Wii as my Wii has just sat there for three months untouched. Fuck that.

Definitely ! Having both is the best way to game !

Yes indeed. But buy a spare 360... just incase.

PS3 cpu = waaaaay fuckin stronger and faster than xbox's, cell processors are rediculous.
xbox 360 gpu= actually a bit stronger than PS3's, thats why GTA4 managed to play a bit smoother on 360, the PS3 was set for processing power, but the gpu just cant keep up.
PS3 is great for movies, music, all around entertainment, the only reason I like the xbox better is because 1, I like Live more than PSN, personal prefrence, and 2, better game selection in my opinion, which is the POINT to a game console, GAMES. I can play blu-ray, go on the internet, listen to music, look at pictures, talk to people, etc. all at the same time on my computer if I want.

In other words, PC owns everything

PS3 is the best. HD-DVD is shit, Blue-Ray the future

Yes Blue ray is great but now you can get a better quailty blue ray player cheapier and better that the shite in the PS3 most people i know that bought a PS3 was just for the Blue ray player. also no subscription for PS3 = sub-par online service with little to no services pack or updates. hey as long as your having fun on whatever machine you use then good for you becasue at the end thats what it is all about entertainment !! enjoy people.

Kind of funny that. I have played GTA IV for MANY hours on both consoles. And I have come to the conclusion that the PS3 version is slightly better at running than the 360 version.

Both versions have pop up here and there. But it happens a whole lot more frequent on the 360 than on the PS3. Like one time down at the harbour doing a mission for Phil Bell, on the way back out heading towards the security gates at full speed as I planned on doing what I usually do and crash through the gates. I ended up stopping dead in my tracks and the guy goes through the windscreen screaming and lands about twenty or thirty foot from the car. There was nothing there to hit. I got up and turned round, and right infront of the car was a concrete pillar, the one you pass before you leave the area [and after you enter] through the gates.

Also near the hospital in the first area you pass some trees. And on the 360 version some trees had half branches and the full branch didn't pop up untill you got closer to the trees. I've even had bits of road lose it's detail and just look smooth [blank]. And a lot of the buildings on the 360 version as well look bland for a short distance away and the detailed walls ect pop up once you get close.

It is obvious if you keep a look out for such things. Even the tiniest glitch. The PS3 has them too, but not as many [or as regular] as the 360 version. Also the PS3 version installs a 3.3G file to the HDD which cuts a lot of the pop up out and slightly improves the drawning distance as you drive along the road. The 360 version sounds like it is really punishing the drives lense as it plays the game, you hear the lense being raped as it zips back and fourth across the disc like a rapid fire yoyo.

well you could install the 360 version to the hard drive and it wont access the game disc at all.

you can install 99% of xbox games now.

That doesn't stop the glitches from happening though.

I am aware of the ability of being able to copy the games to the HDD. I've tried it before with some games. I just stick to the disc being read now though. But it is not advisable with some games, copying them to the HDD as they are even more glitchy than when they are being read from the disc. Or sometimes not, and the glitches only appear once it is playing from the HDD.

Velvet Assassin is a prime example of this. And I think even Gaylo 3 doesn't run well on the drive.

PS3 all the way for me, never been find of the shitbox, never liked the controller, never liked their 'exclusive' games.
