Xbox ownz the PS2 without breaking a sweat. What Does PS2 Hve that xbox doesnt? OTHER than gran turismo 3.

XBOX is way better, when the two first came out PS2 was the better choice. And since microsoft buys all the good gaming companies, PS2 gets powned. Also Halo2 is coming out soon.

Well, I'm about to get flamed, but I pledge allegiance to the PS2. Yeah, yeah. I know the XBox has the better graphics, but it's all about the games for me. Final Fantasy? Check. Metal Gear Solid? Check. Gran Turismo? Check. Grand Theft Auto? Check. Silent Hill? Check. Madden online? Check and double check.
Sure, I'd love to play Panzer Dragoon Orta and Ninja Gaiden, but those are but two games. And, I can't justify buying a console for only two games unless the price tag is under a hundred bucks.

The PS2 has it's querks, but then again it has it's downs. A friend of mine had one and it only played games after a while. If you put a DVD in it and it went blank.
X-Box, well I'm not much of a fan of their control pad. It's pretty complicated to me. I dunno though. I mean I like their music feature part. Instead of the game music, you can play your own.

I agree with Snatcher about the games. PS2 does have a bigger choice of good games than both XBox and Game Cube. Thats only because the best American game maker Rocstar and three of the best Japanese companies Konami, Square Enix and Capcom all have a deal worked out where they can only produce their games for PS2. Thats the only thing that PlayStation has going for it. Other than that nothing can touch the XBox. I know everybody has brought this up but the XBox is the better console because the graphics on it are so amazing. It's just better looking.
Theres always a possibility that better games will come out for Xbox but it wouldnt be possible for PS2 to get better graphics (unless they came out with a PS3!) so I'd rather go with better graphics over a better choice of games. XBox all the way....

PS2 hands down. It has a bigger/better library and it has controllers that are already comfortable without buying a third-party one. EA can only make online for PS2 so that is another plus that the Xbox does not have.I mean taking graphics over gameplay isn't that smart seriously. Blinx had beautiful graphics but it was not saved by mediocre gameplay. Now some all console games it would be better to have the Xbox version but it all comes down to the exclusives. PS2 has some great games to hold you off before the classic of the year comes out. Xbox has its gems few and far between...

Xbox Hands Down, PS2 Is Awful. I must admit i was a ps2 fanboy and hated xbox, until i heard that halo was comin out on it over a year before PC. Oh my woe So i went and took a look around, and when i found Dead Or Alive 3 aswell i went and bought one. I got mine 7:30 in the morning on release day. And i have not had a happier day of gaming since. I kep my s2 thinking ill use it becos xbox will be boring after a week. Oh how i was wrong, after two weeks my ps2 was boxed up and for sale, and i dnt regret it one bit.

-Until you've played FFXI, you have no idea what you're missing.
-MGS3 is a PS2 exclusive, so have fun waiting the year or so for an XBox version
-GTA San Andreas, once again a PS2 exclusive. And, if memory serves correctly, took longer than a year before those got ported to the XBox. Ouch!
-Umm, hate to burst your bubble, but EA Sports only does online with PS2. Not sure what you're playing online, but it sure ain't Madden
-Halo's overrated. Yeah, I said it. Although, I'm saddened that I'll have to upgrade my PC for Half Life 2.
Loves dropping me some knowledge.
