Just wondering if any of your relatives fought in WWII?
And if they did where did they take part and for who?

My uncle fought with the British Army in North Africa.

My maternal granduncle fought with the Wehrmacht on the Eastern Front.

Apparently my grandfather worked in british army catering as a driver, interesting i know, he may not of killed any jerries but he sure did feed those men that did.

A great uncle of mine was in Germany during the final months of the war.

grandpa fought don't know where but he told us stories about being in France he was also an interpreter, my dads mothers dad fought for Austria in ww1

yeah, on both sides.
one was one of the first to enter paris and the other was shot up in the battle of the bulge.

Grandfather (mother's side) - one of the founder members of the SAS service in North Africa, Norway (behind lines) and Germany (agian behind lines, found a concentration camp)

Uncle (father's side) - US navy in the Pacific
