Legzman

Amazing that the Sky Raider was able to land with half a wing gone! Good ol' Navy Bird!!

Sucks about the Mustang, always suck when we lose a old Warbird :(

Wow... Just wow! That is some tremendous footage! I never imagined the Skyraider to be that big of a plane! f'en things are tugs, geesh! he appeared to be so far behind the '51 and all of the sudden... Boink!.

Glad that the pilot was able to eject safely and glad that there are a reasonable number of P-51s in operable condition.

Thanks for the timely post, Mauser, it's good to know that there is a least one air buff here! :hatsoff:

Why ground perfectly airworthy aircraft, just because of pilot error!

Pilot's should just stop playing silly buggers at air shows - I go to look at the aircraft not how good a pilot thinks he is!

This man just shows what you can do with a few bits of wood and glue!

True, as long as the spectators are out of harms way, let pilots do what they do, they know the risks involved. ;)

I didn't see any hot dogging in this mishap, it looked like a fairly routine exercise ... don't you think?

I love the venerable 'ol wooden De Havilland Mosquito, great night fighters, twin V-12's... what's not to like? :glugglug:

For the EMPEROR!!
Such a shame to lose a great treasure.

I was just watching a program about old war planes and it had a P-51 nick-named 'Old Crow" in it.

My grandfather used to work on Mosquitos!

As for hot dogging, I didn't say they were hot dogging .... but if I ran into your car because I wasn't watching what I was doing, would you be happy with me ;)
