Would pornstars be casted in hollywood

Would pornstars whether they are currently active or not ever get casted into hollywood films or tv shows? Has there been any examples of people who have gone in? Perhaps once they got retired?

Has anyone transitioned from hollywood to porn or vice versa?

If they could be casted, who do you think could do well in films/tv shows where sex/nudity would prob be done but not heavily emphasized?

I like to think Abella Danger could do well in those American Pie style comedies.

Unfortunately being a pornstar is a big no for hollywood. And pornstars are not very good at acting.
Transitionning to porn from mainstream but I think what happened with Maitland Ward, all the hype that her transition has generated, all the praises she received from the industry might change that, a little...

But I think high profile porn directors (such as Greg Lansky or Kayden Kross) would do pretty well if they had the opportunity to direct a mainstream low-budget movie.

Don't really watch the show despite hearing good things for this. SO is she a big actress following GOT? Due to the sex scenes which is heavily done in the show, do you think her casting was simply the director thinking sex workers prob have no problem getting their kit off for those scenes? So they got 1

Whats the main reason as a big no? I mean you can argue and say musicians or artists are not good at acting and they sometimes are in films even if its cameo?

A few adult performers have crossed over and landed parts in Hollywood films. The most notable was Sasha Grey, who got the lead in the Stephen Soderbergh film The Girlfriend Experience in 2009 and also starred in the 2014. movie Open Windows with Elijah Wood. Then there's James Deen who starred opposite Lindsey Lohan in The Canyons (2013). The movie was terrible but Deen was not bsd, typecast as a sadistic boyfriend. There were two other porn performers in smaller parts -- Danny Wylde and Lily LaBeau.

In 2008, Katie Morgan made a guest appearance on HBO's Entourage (2004) playing herself. She made her first mainstream feature film appearance in Kevin Smith's 2008 comedy, Zack and Miri Make a Porno (2008), starring Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks. She also made three specials for HBO. Several porn stars, most of them women, have popped up on cable series. Often they play themselves (in their porn characters). If you watched Entourage, you'll find a lot of them.

• I think there was another pornstar, I forget her name, who was in Brian De Palma's Body Double (1984). She played the double to Melanie Griffin. Melanie's breasts weren't large enough in the closeups if I remember correctly. Although, I always get that movie mixed up with another De Palma classic Dressed to Kill (1980) starring Michael Caine and Angie Dickinson.

I remember that scene. Though it probably was her. Remember, she was naked in that movie with William Shatner Big Bad Mama (1974). She was gorgeous in that one too.

This is where the confusion lies. The producers wanted her to claim that was really her in the shower and not mention a body double.

Nice followup Dino. I was so used to seeing Vikki LaMotta's hot pictures in Playboy around this time. Vikki was was 51 in November 1981 when she posed for the magazine. And I always said to myself, "if Vikki looks that hot at 51.Since Angie keeps herself in really good shape being in her late forties. (in reality, Angie was forty-eight) so that must've been Angie in that shower scene." But now that you told me it was Victoria Johnson. I'm a believer in the use of a body double by Mr. De Palma.

When she was hired for GoT, she had left porn like 10 years before and her porn career had been quite short (2001-2002). And she played Shae, a hooker...

If you happen to have had a very short porn career a long time ago, you can be in mainstream movies or TV-shows but if you've been in porn for like 10 years and retired like 1 or 2 years ago, don't even think about having a part in a mainstream movie or TV-show (unless it's a B movie, something like Sharknado, Iron Sky, Piranha 3D, etc...)

Sibel Kekilli had been in several 'proper' films prior to being in GoT, most notably Head On/Gegen Die Wand which got some respectable reviews (I watched it about 10 years ago, its quite an impressive film but to be honest I thought it was depressing so I haven't been in a rush to watch it again), so its not like she jumped straight from hardcore to the mainstream (and she appears to be continuing to work in the mainstream, unlike the other actresses mention here: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1402546/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0 )
