In such a complex world, discussing such complex issues, it must be nice to have such simple answers - hyperbolic and myopic as they may be :)

Indeed it does; it certainly cuts down on a lot of needlessly wordy and obscurely detailed bullcrap folk try to pawn on you to create an illusion of complexity.

I don't suppose you'd be a "truther" too, by any chance?

I don't know what a truther is, so I can't comment.

Well gee I'm just quaking in my boots.
Fortunately I'll have you here to tip me off in the nick of time :)

I didn't say that to make you quake in your boots. I'm just expressing real talk, my friend. No more, no less.

Illegals now threatening Canada - From the Manitoba Herald, Canada (a very underground paper):

The flood of American liberals sneaking across the border into Canada has intensified in the past week, sparking calls for increased patrols to stop the illegal immigration.

The actions of President Bush are prompting the exodus among left-leaning citizens who fear they'll soon be required to hunt, pray, and agree with Bill O'Reilly.

Canadian border farmers say it's not uncommon to see dozens of sociology professors, animal rights activists and Unitarians crossing their fields at night.

"I went out to milk the cows the other day, and there was a Hollywood producer huddled in the barn," said Manitoba farmer Red Greenfield, whose acreage borders North Dakota. The producer was cold, exhausted and hungry. "He asked me if I could spare a latte and some free-range chicken. When I said I didn't have any, he left. Didn't even get a chance to show him my screenplay, eh?"

In an effort to stop the illegal aliens, Greenfield erected higher fences, but the liberals scaled them. So he tried installing speakers that blare Rush Limbaugh across the fields. "Not real effective," he said. "The liberals still got through, and Rush annoyed the cows so much they wouldn't give milk."

Officials are particularly concerned about smugglers who meet liberals near the Canadian border, pack them into Volvo station wagons, drive them across the border and leave them to fend for themselves.

"A lot of these people are not prepared for rugged conditions," an Ontario border patrolman said. "I found one carload without a drop of drinking water. "They did have a nice little Napa Valley cabernet, though."

When liberals are caught, they're sent back across the border, often wailing loudly that they fear retribution from conservatives. Rumors have been circulating about the Bush administration establishing re-education camps in which liberals will be forced to drink domestic beer and watch NASCAR races.

In recent days, liberals have turned to sometimes-ingenious ways of crossing the border. Some have taken to posing as senior citizens on bus trips to buy cheap Canadian prescription drugs. After catching a half-dozen young vegans disguised in powdered wigs, Canadian immigration authorities began stopping buses and quizzing the supposed senior-citizen passengers on Perry Como and Rosemary Clooney hits to prove they were alive in the '50s. "If they can't identify the accordion player on The Lawrence Welk Show, we get suspicious about their age," an official said.

Canadian citizens have complained that the illegal immigrants are creating an organic-broccoli shortage and renting all the good Susan Sarandon movies.

"I feel sorry for American liberals, but the Canadian economy just can't support them," an Ottawa resident said. "How many art-history majors does one country need?

Theopolis Q. Hossenffer

I am in America, not of it.
I still believer Jimmy Carter was the least effective except for his roll in the Egypt-Israel peace. That was well done. Nixon was a brilliant ass, only concerned with himself. I am not sure how to classify Bush, I used to be a supporter but there has been too many things not to like to continue as one. He may or may not be the worst, I won't be alive when that is judged. He certainly is disappointing and unpopular.

We wanted to lynch Nixon in the 70's. There were "Impeach Nixon" Storefronts all over the place. We(and I mean a lot of us Americans) wanted him out. We got our wish, both him and his little Agnew as well. I do want Bush out now, I don't thing his arrogance and cocksure attiude is doing anyone any good. He is a spendthrift, and completly not understanding what the American People expect from a President. I am not even sure I can vote for a Republican this time no matter who is running and for me that is a big change. So I will watch and seeth until Jan 2009 when maybe this can start to change.

Interesting that Johnson isn't a choice. Two American Presidents since WWII have lead the nation into divisive wars based on error -- LBJ and W.

Both were Texans who wanted to "play soldier" -- but far more Americans got killed in Vietnam.

That said, in other respects, LBJ was a good President . . . but roughly 50,000 American deaths are attributable to his decision to escalate, and many more casualties, and make him a candidate for "worst President".

Still, I think W is worse, but only just

lbj is also a good choice he sucked pretty bad.

As bad as LBJ was with Vietnam and that was very bad.He did probably do more for the advancement of the civil rights movement than any other president in the last century.Compare that to GWB who has Iraq but nothing like good works on civil rights on the other side of the ledger to recommend him.So he is the weakest link, ahh no I mean worst president.

maybe he is pretty close to being the worst but he still has a little time to go. lbj and carters presidentcies are final and for that matter so is clintons.
