Honestly if the WCup had to be in Africa, it should've been held in Morocco. Having it in SA was asking for trouble.

Having it anywhere in Africa outside of Egypt is asking for trouble. There's a reason the Olympics and (formerly) the World Cup never wanted to go there. Aside from the crime, I have to question South Africa as a host from a fan standpoint. The team is easily the worst host nation in World Cup history. If they make it out of the first round I will be stunned.

I'm guessing Africa probably won't be getting another World Cup anytime soon if this keeps up. Once again a bad idea. I get why they wanted it there but a symbolic gesture isn't going to fix the problems on that continent.

Like I wrote earlier, Morocco would've been an interesting and much safer choice.

Also cheaper flights from Europe to Morocco than SA.

I hope that you are joking. Morocco hasn't sufficient organizational capacities. Neither Egypt or any other African countries can organize a Football World Cup. Even South Africa is just an hazard in my opinion.

And anyway, why everyone talk about an "African World Cup"? Perhaps Zulu people expect something from this event?

The opening ceremony was boring, not a disaster like USA '94, but boring.
