You have to remember something, most of these pictures were taken at the old Playboy Mansion in Chicago. Candy Loving was the 25th Anniversary Playmate, January 1979, so it was appropriate. It also gets awfully cold there in Chicago in November and December (when these photos were taken). Therefore, you kind of have it correct. It was a form of lingerie. Candy was wearing thermal pajamas cut low at the hip to show off her sexy thighs and hips. The pajamas also had several buttons down the front to show off her amazing cleavage, and she would unbutton them ever so slowly to accentuate her big sexy tits.

Here is another picture from that set that has the buttons undone and also shows off her ample cleavage:



Note the comforter and big heavy pillows. Definitely the later autumn - early winter months.
