I will go with "Majestic Mood". Just a thought, maybe you could have 2 I-KON photos. The one in color and the other in black & white. I think it would be possible to have 2 I-KON photos in which one is represented in color and the other in black & white. I think this could be done and still have the integrity of the WCN & I-KON value not diminished. Just a thought or idea to maybe consider. :dunno: But that is up to you and trust the value of your opinion along with keeping the WCN thread values and overall perspective of it's goal.

Opinions from WCN committee members are always welcome.
While the idea of twin I-KON's is certainly tempting, in my view, there can only truly be 1 King of Nudes.
In this case, especially given that the margin of victory is so decisive, it would be unfair to the winner to have to share the title. :2 cents:

naming the all-time greatest photograph in the history of nude photography!
Receiving 69% of the vote, WCN's panel of judges overwhelmingly selects Playboy's :bowdown:Majestic Mood :bowdown: as the 2019 I-KON Champion*, denoting the greatest (i.e., most sublime) nude
photograph ever documented! As such, it is my honor and privilege to crown Majestic Mood as the reigning International King of Nudes photo!

This is really fun contest bear, and thank you for that. But so much depends on the matchups, who chooses them, their timing, and the limited sample size (considering the hundreds of thousands of possible nominees) that I doubt there's a single person posting here who actually thinks Majestic Mood is "the greatest (i.e., most sublime) nude photograph ever documented!"
I know I don't, though it IS an extremely appealing photo, and I did prefer it to Date Nite.
I'm sure we all have our own opinions as to the photo we as individuals think is the actual greatest nude photograph we've even seen, but probably few if any actually made it into the contest. So we are left to vote on the photos that did. Hence the vote becomes more one of relative/comparative rather than absolute greatness. Which is fine. Arriving at an absolute would I'm sure be an impossibility anyway. As it is it's still interesting, entertaining and fun and thank you as always for hosting it :hatsoff:

Since WCN's inception, members have been invited to submit their photo-candidates to the tournament. More recently, I’ve even added an easy-access link for participants to enter their favorite photos.
As of today, there are 29 pages worth of members’ nominations, equating to roughly 400 pics.
Because the bar has been set so high, I would estimate that on average only about 10% have actually made it into the competition, with another 10% qualified, ready to go.
Current methodology for selecting photos worthy of the IKON title is akin to having hundreds of nudes subjected to specialized software that analyzes, compares, and ultimately selects from the pool of entries,
a supreme candidate… except that instead of identifying the winner instantaneously (i.e.,via AI), WCN's tournament format takes an entire year to complete.
In a perfect world, artificial intelligence software could simply scan the entire internet in real time to identify the absolute greatest ever nude photo.
But until that day arrives, to my knowledge, our only available option is this thread.
On the plus side, WCN's interactive format allows members to not only participate, but to see it play out in a transparent and visually entertaining way!
Though “Majestic” wasn’t my personal I-KON choice, I believe in the idea of collective wisdom, upon which WCN was founded.
When properly applied, this concept [ideally] should select the ”best" candidate from the pool. This collective choice, ironically, frequently a photo few if any actually held as their absolute fave from the tournament as it represents a fusion of sorts of voters’ preferences.
Electing 3 Photo of the Year winners, and now its first IKON champion, WCN has effectively established a quality bar with respect to premier nude photography.
The challenge, and what makes WCN ever the more interesting going forward, is the search for other world-class-caliber images that potentially can meet or even eclipse the prior year's winners.
As for the current reigning IKON title holder, Majestic Mood now has a bulls-eye on its [virtual] back as the ultimate photo to beat!
So, is there a photo out there that can strip ‘Majestic’ of the title?
Of course there is! The only question is how soon can we find it.
But until that day comes, Majestic Mood, like any other reigning champion, will proudly don its crown!

I like stories. And a quality picture, like e.g. a quality painting, tells a story worth telling. Majestic Mood tells a story I really want to be a part of. There are other pictures that get me more excited. But Majestic Mood gets me involved. There's a fantasy behind it that I like. It's all very subjective. I can't break it down into lighting and angle of the shot. The sum is greater than its parts. There are a lot of quality pictures in this competition. There's like 5 or 6 Ive seen come by that I've saved on my harddrive. Majestic Mood is one of them. The others often failed to get beyond round 1 or 2. So it's subjective. Just like not everybody likes the same story.

Why is it the King of Nudes, wouldn't Queen on Nudes be better???
Good question.
I had the same internal debate when initially considering names for the crown. But "King" won out for 2 reasons:
One, I thought the IKON label was catchy.
And two, "Queen" of Nudes might too easily be perceived, erroneously, as referring specifically to the featured model, rather than the picture as a whole, the latter being the more accurate
representation of the crown.
