Windows 8 rt headache

Well, this was a problem I never expected to encounter on a windows device... I pre-ordered a MSFT Surface and received it on friday and it's great for almost everything except that when I try to watch video's here at FreeOne's i can not get the video's to play. This happens at all other similar websites as well except for ones that offer a mp4 or other video format download option. Adobe flash is installed in IE and is enabled. The only thing I can think of is that bill gates is a damn prude and has removed all porn sites from his compatibility view list. I've gone through parental settings and made sure there's nothing restrictive turned on by default...

What good is a new tablet if I can't rub one out every now and then?

Anybody else encounter this, find a fix?

Try another browser.

I'm not really a computer wizz, but maybe you just need to download an add on to the browser. Like flash or java or whatever there is that plays the videos. :dunno:

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
Lemme get this straight: you have a Microsoft product, it's running Windows, the browser is IE... and you're having problems?! Get outta here! I don't believe you!

This is the reason why you should always do the research on something before buying it.

Here is a compilation of reviews:

Funny how the most positive things they´ve got to say is about the design.

And here is why its so hard to find anything negative said about win8:

Also, I´d be very careful of what sites I visit with that thing if you decide to make use of the skydrive:

SkyDrive has several important drawbacks that for many users may make it less viable than local hard-drive storage or competing cloud services. First, it imposes a 2GB limit on individual files, so the high-definition video you took of, say, your child’s soccer match might not copy to your SkyDrive if it’s bigger than 2GB. Second, Microsoft restricts the types of files you may upload: Illegally copied commercial content is prohibited, and so are files that contain nudity or excessive violence.

Microsoft has been vague when asked for the specifics of how it defines and detects prohibited content. Although it’s understandable that the company would ban the uploading of illegal content, Microsoft’s decision to serve as a moral authority on prohibited private material seems excessive.

Never use a Microsoft product until it has been out for 2 years. That is a rule that has kept me sane for the last 20 years.

A few years ago I was working a job with 5-8 employees under me and one of them said that exact same thing back to me one day (it was already a steadfast rule of mine). And she said it with the exact same tone I would have used if I had said it to her. No matter what they release, no matter how good it supposedy is....2 years. No less.

You bought a tablet to watch porn? You really missed the point.
