Window Media Player 11

I bought a PC- that does have Windows Vista. It's a cheaper model Lenovo J Series (they no longer make it) - it doesn' have a DVD burner, which I really would like- but with WMP 11 you can supposedly burn DVDs. Is this a quality burner to use, or should I buy another one and install it myself? I'm not much of a techie.Any input would help- thanks.
