I went to the gas station and found $20 on the ground so I decided to try my luck playing the lottery. I rarely play the lottery. I chose fantasy 5 (5 numbers out of 36 numbers), odds are better, but still unlikely. When you add an extra dollar, you can choose this ezmatch option. The computer will pick 5 random numbers out of 36 and assign them random cash prize amounts ranging from $2-$500.
My state lottery website describes it: With EZmatch™, you can add instant fun to FANTASY 5®! Just choose the EZmatch play option, for an additional $1, for a chance to win cash instantly. EZmatch offers players the chance to win up to five times on a single FANTASY 5 EZmatch ticket – making FANTASY 5 the Lottery's "winningest" game! When you select EZmatch™, five EZmatch numbers and instant prize amounts will print below the FANTASY 5 numbers on your ticket. Match any EZmatch number with any FANTASY 5® number on your ticket, and win the prize amount shown instantly.
I found the $20 so I felt like I had nothing to lose. I got 10 tickets ( I chose quickplay and the computer randomly picked 5 numbers) with ezmatch printed out and quickly scanned my tickets to see if I won. I would have a 5 out of 36 chance of winning anything from $2-$500. Fuck me. I didn't win shit. I felt like there was a room of state officials laughing their asses off in a government building somewhere far, far away. Anyways, below are some examples:
02 04 12 28 29
EZmatch
10-$500
19- $500
20- $20
22- $500
32- $500
16 23 25 28 36
07-$100
11- $20
15-$50
24-$15
35-$15
07 25 26 27 30
12-$20
16-$100
19-$10
31-$5
35-$15
As I'm looking at the tickets, I noticed something. Most of the tickets had a winning number in the 30's. What if I pick 31,32,33,34,35 and pick that same row of numbers like 30 times. Sooner or later, I should win something....big, I hope.
Dumb idea? The state surely would have implemented some kind of algorithm system to make sure you don't win shit and that it truly is not random. Food for thought.![Roll eyes  ](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
