Why Should We Care About Iowa?

Why does Iowa get to be the first to open the primary season? Iowa is not representative of America as a whole. It's too rural, too white and too evangelical. So much power shouldn't be given to such a small state like Iowa. I propose that some of the bigger states should go first or rotate the order so that a different state gets to be first
