Why Quick Reply ?

I Hate it :flame: I cannot tell you how many times I've lost material after inadvertantly clicking on that fucking "Quick Reply". :crash:

For instance, I'll just be finishing up a post and I'll go and look up a word in dictionary or whatever, not even thinking about what the hell I've just done (lost my post to be forever) or that I was even on quick reply in the first place !

:comes back to finish up post and it's gone:

FU . . :crash::crash:

I always open up another window when I need to look something up. Never had a problem with quick reply.

Unless I'm quoting someone, I always use quick reply. Truth be told, tho.. if the box is empty then reply/quick reply... either side shouldnt work with the other. An error should popup without forwarding to a different page.

But, eh.. this is one for the suggestion/comment section more than general.

You type your post in the Quick Reply box, open another site in the same window and then click back and the post in the Quick Reply box is gone? Did I get that right?

Thats no problem. Just right click in the Reply box and click the top option. (Its "Rückgängig" in German - dont know in the American version).

That should work. (If I got your problem right :o )

I still don't get what the big problem is though.

The solution seems simple - don't use quick reply for long posts.
