Why I'm Not Voting (and neither should you)

Petra

Cult ****** and Simpering Cunt
Oh I'm voting, just not the way I'm supposed to. I'll write the name of whoever I want to be president on the ballot and put a check next to their name. Let's see those bastards try to say I can't. Wildcard bitches!

Hey Petra, how would you like to be commander in chief?

That's what the write in part of the ballot is for!

When you when into that voting booth, you had a choice between two bowls of ****. The only difference was the smell.
- Lewis Black, speaking specifically on the bush-kerry election but i think it applies to pretty much all elections

When you vote, you show just how brainwashed you are. You are saying that you believe in a sham system built to decieve you. You are saying that your head is firmly planted inside the box. Basically, if you vote you have bought the big lie, you are certified gullible sheep. You belive all the political theatre that was put there for people like you, who are easily fooled. Dont feel so bad though, these things that you belive in are by design, comforting things to believe, for some people are not capable of living in reality, some people need to just think happy thoughts as they cant handle the truth.

Two reason not to vote 1 Your a conspiracy theorist and you forgot to take your meds or 2 You claim to not vote to make a difference when really you are too fucking lazy/dumb to go do it.

State and local is where should be even more active. The Federal Government only has so much power when it comes down to what goes on in your own community.

Agree 100% - Next time someone bitches about the candidates at the national level, ask them what they have done to ***** politicians at the local level. Then tell them to STFU!

So, you have an issue with the way voting works, and you think that with-holding your vote will make a difference?

I have some ocean-front property in Indiana I'd like to sell you.

Yeah, it seems like the easy way out.

I can understand if you don't have an opinion or don't like the candidates. Then why cast your vote, unless your casting against someone. I can at least understand that.

Not voting because you think the system or process is corrupt or unfair is lazy. Get off your butt and at least try to change it if you feel that way.

If it was up to me I would make voting a law punishable by a week in jail and a $1000 fine.

Perserving our democracy is important to this American and it is the responsibility of all citizens to carry out their responsibility to protect it. VOTE!!!

lol vote for WHAT?

If none of the candidates represent or have any intention of representing you.......what are you contending your vote is worth?

You get told who to vote for (the R brand or the D brand) and you're saying that ritual should be compulsory?

Do what I do and pencil in a your vote (what the fuck do you call it? It's crack o' dawn AM and I can't think of the term). Back when "Night Court" was on TV, I voted for Mel Torme. I voted for Slash once, but since I don't know his real name, I'm not sure my sacred fuckin' vote counted. Instead of Bush or Kerry, I voted for Fred Savage (a presidency with heartfelt voiceovers).

Hmmmm....I feel a new thread coming on.
