why do girls make porn ??

Some women are just natural exhibitionists too. I have a feeling that a good number of the girls in porn would still be doing it even if they didn't need the money. Which is a good thing for us. 
I'm sure it's slightly different in each case, however........
Certainly money plays a huge factor. I doubt many of them would have this type of earning potential doing something else. I like to think there's more to it than just money, though...... after all, it's not like every pretty girl that would like to be in a higher tax bracket ends up doing porn. I think most, if not all of them are natural exhibtionists and highly sexual people to boot, and porn allows them to literally make a career of these traits. I also think that many of them like the fact that pornstars become minor celebrities that often get the opportunity to meet (or do more) with with bigger celebrities, like athletes, musicians, etc.

Because there is a market for it and money to be made. Depending on the scene and the popularity of the girl, they can make $500 - $1500 a scene - sometimes less, sometimes more. If the market wasn't there, there would be no adult entertainment. If the the Pet Rock still had appeal, it would still be making money for people. Hey, sex sells - always has, and the adult industry profits from it big time. I buy DVD's, so I help pay these girls salaries too. I'm like an unseen boss.

Yeah i'm sure they all do it for different reasons, I remember that Diane Sawyer interview with what's her nuts...Belladonna. She was saying how she loved it and all and then started balling right in the middle of the interview.
I would imagine most don't think about the repercussions when they do it and not many become mainstream actors afterwards.

Am I the only one thats going to say that some of them probably do it because they were abused as children? I'm not saying that that's the case with all of them some of them probably do think it will make them a star or just enjoy sex. But I definately think some of them were abused as children and that's why they do it.
I don't doubt there's some truth in that statement. Though I do not purport to any formal education in the field of psychology I do know there's often a correlation between promiscuity (which I think it's safe to say many pornstars are), and people who've been sexually abused as children. However, I've also heard the sexual abuse rates for girls being as high as 1 out of 3, and I doubt one third of all women would be classified as promicuous! It may be as simple as different people dealing with their demons in different ways, but my guess is there's much more to it that that.
Lets be honest… the money is good, they get fame and attention that some women crave, and it doesn’t require much talent… simply go in front of a camera and get fucked. They can be stupider then shit and pretty much useless at anything else. That may sound a bit harsh and of course it does not apply to all of them, but if you are semi attractive and not good at a whole hell of a lot… go to porn!

The reasons they spell out as the cause of participation, are:
1. Forced for economic reasons, basically by a bunch of orgainsed group.
2. Forced due to drug addiction, and to pay for the debt the pile up.
Money & addiction comes a lot later, after a miniscule percentage becomes known and the market demand that face/body/style.
But yes, a few of them do it to satisfy their own libido. But that is extremely rare.

Getting paid for pleasure may sound good for guys, but I'm sure it's quite a different state of mind for women. They may come to eventually like it, but when starting out, I doubt they do. You can tell which ones have fun, and the ones who don't end up quitting in a short period of time. Hopefully in the future society won't look down on pornstars, god knows I think they're cool as hell.
