Who will win the World Series?

I know it's a little early to be picking teams here and there, but it's something that has got me thinking lately.

The Dodgers have been amazing, even without Manny who is set to return very soon in early July. He'll end up helping the team even MORE. Andre Either hit 3 HR's the other day? Anyone see that? And plus, Casey Blake has the beard goin' so they should be in the playoffs, just like last year. :1orglaugh

Another is the Red Sox. I think they have the best record in the AL, correct? Hopefully I'm right, haha. David Ortiz hit his 7th homer of the season not too long ago. Remember when he was off to a horrible start? Maybe things are starting to shape up for him. :hatsoff:

Next is the Yankees. A- Rod has been quiet lately for the Yanks, he should turn it around though. I don't think A- Rod can be the only one to carry the team though. I think New York will end up makin' the playoffs somehow in some way. I mean, they've got Teixeira (I get spelling down?) so he'll end up being one of the leaders for the team in homeruns. Plus they have him for like...8 years? Or was that Sabathia they signed for 8 years? Or both?

What teams do you think have a chance for the playoffs, or possibly the World Series?

what the fuck you lookin at?
I'll tell you this much...it WON'T be the cubs!

oh, and fuck the yankees!

It's not going to be the Padres, unfortunately. Hopefully the Cardinals can.

A Dodgers vs Yanks or BoSox World Series would be amazing. The only sure bet from those three though are the Dodgers. Go Blue! :D

LA baby LA

If you're talking about winning the World Series, it's a crapshoot, plain and simple. Making the playoffs however, is a lot easier to predict.

To early to tell. Obviously the Dodgers look to be in pretty good position to be the NL representative though their starting pitching seems bit suspect. We will see how ManRam affects team chemisty upon his return as they have been a better team in his absence.

The NL Central could be the Cards or Brewers, but I think St. Louis will prevail as their pitching staff seems more solid. Philadelphia should win the NL East again as the Mets are a complete disaster(why does Omar Minaya have a job?).

In the AL Boston seems to be the most solid team and should win their division as the Yanks pitching can be a bit brutal and their new park totally sucks(look at split stats of the hitters).

Central seems to be Detroit's to lose and the Angels should overtake the Rangers by season's end.

The wildcard is to difficult to forecast until the last couple of weeks of the season. Florida, NY Mets, Colorado, SF and Milwaukee seem to have aspirations for post season in the NL. The Yankees are probably the front runner for the wildcard in the AL, but do not count out the Rays as they have been playing really well for the past month. I think the wild card goes through the AL East either way though the Rangers are playing really well before the hot July and August days in Arlington have begun.

Plus no real trades have happened yet. Derosa should help the Cards and begin loosening the trade market, but the right trade can change a team's fortune really quick.

Strongest possibility for World Series matchup: Boston vs LA Dodgers.
Winner: Boston in six.
