I thought about it, but I had more important things to do. I was spending the day with my best friend who's in town until Monday. We spent the day in San Fagcisco, and went to Cirque du Soleil at night. So, I didn't go shopping, but I did go out early on Black Friday.

Killer deal ongoing - LED Maglight for a measely $10.97 !!!

The unit is built like a tank, it's brighter than any other light in it's class, it has a special switch that allows you to choose between from full illumination which is literally blinding white light and 25 % illumination which provides more than enough light to read with. I got a great deal at Sam's Club about a year ago. I got a regular 3-cell MagLite, plus a Mini MagLite, for $8.99. Gotta love overstocks.

Nope, not this time, although I got to drive right under the one that broke.

Back in October there was a Safeway truck that flipped over and blocked 4 lanes on the bridge, causing a huge cluster fuck that lasted for hours. That day I got front row seats because I was working right below it on Treasure Island. Although I didn't see the truck actually flip over I did see the ensuing commotion and entropy. It was great.

I worked Friday morning. I sometimes think shoppers go out there and camp hours before the store opens simply so they can brag to their friends about it. You know, because doing that sort of stuff is really cool.

I didn't sleep. Went to Brandsmart USA at midnight (that's when they opened the doors) and copped a Fujifilm 12.2 megapixel camera for $68!! The line wrapped TWICE around the building but at least it moved.

I am over in the wonderful U.S.A visiting relatives for the last 10 days and let me tell you, this black friday thing is crazy!

Tell me about it. We don't have that sort of thing here either (Western Germany). When I first saw what's going on in some parts of the US on "Black Friday", I thought America had a srew loose.

Good for me, considering I can use occasions like that to buy US Blu-Rays or DVDs extremely cheap.
For example I ordered the "Planet of the Apes 40th Anniversary Collection" on Blu-Ray for 60 bucks....60 bucks!!!! :eek: That boxset is 130 bucks where I live. Even with credit card fees (which are pretty low in Germany), customs, shipping and handling I'm paying 40% less than here. Also ordered the Blu-Ray "Blade Runner (Five-Disc Complete Collector's Edition)" for 20 $. Unbelievable. That thing would cost me at least 55 € (about 80 $) where I live. Gotta love the States for their cheap entertainment sector and the even cheaper Dollar.

That reminds me...I gotta start a new thread....

I went to Big Lots at 6:00 a.m. and got some DVD's, junk food, and Guitar Hero. I don't have the cash to drop $1000 in one day lik some shoppers.
