I know, I know you will say its all lies.

"Various skulls are shown along with the current best educated guess as to where they fit on the tree of primate descent."
Not necessarily intentional lying. Rather a "leap of faith" to connect the dots. Hence, the "science" of evolutionary theory is turned into a faith based religion.
My point is that you can neither prove or disprove the existence of God, or evolution.
Therefore, both viewpoints, pro-evolution and anti-evolution are a matter faith. In the end it takes an equal amount of faith to hold to either view.
What is sad is that so many adherents of evolutionary theory want to use the theory for the basis of proving their faith (Atheism), rather than trying to obtain a true knowledge of how life came to be. When a person reaches that point they are practicing religion, living by faith.
For the sake of argument, would proving evolution to be true based soley on the basis of confirmed empirical evidence disprove the existence of God?
No! Because there is still the fact of ex nihilo. There had to have been a prime mover, a first cause that started it all. Wheter it be evolution or creation there had to be a first cause. Big bang or God spoke, there had to be an existing prime mover that brought the universe in to existence out of nothing.
If that prime mover had to come into existence, who or what made that happen? Eventually, you are into infinity which means there had to be something , or someone, who is self existent. That is, the initial prime mover was never created but, has always existed.
We can make arguments about how life began and developed based upon apparent evidence. But, in the end we have to ask one another, "Were you there?"
Choose to believe in evolution if you desire that for your system of belief. But, be honest and call it what it is; A practice of religious faith. It is not proven fact.
