Who needs their mail anyway:(

Hubby and I run a business at home all the money we make is sent to us in checks. I have no problem with people striking especially since they way they were doing it might have been inconvient for us and make things a bit tight but good for them to insure the mail was going to be still delivered and them still get their point across.

I'm sorry it's inconvient for them that their employees are on strike but locking them out is only going to not get you support form the rest of us.

Maybe they should give me all the money I am currently not collecting because they choice to lock out people that were working while on strike.

So It's not like I can go and get my checks. Have some saving but if they stay closed long I will be totally SOL all because they want to play god. That is called horrible business practices.

Sucks...I know I would be in flames (mad as hell, not gay:facepalm:) if I were needing something time sensitive or monetary from the post and there was a strike.

I was supposed to be getting some mail from Taiwan within the next two days. The government won't be able to enact back-to-work legislation till at least Tuesday, and the NDP is going to do everything they can to make sure those workers stay at home. What a pain in the ass.

Have some mail coming from the US guess it will be late....hope it gets settled soon

Someone needs to go postal on those postal workers.

Sounds to me like they need to go postal on their Government.

The postal workers were rolling the area effected by the strike, to allow the majority of the mail to get delivered as usual, thus inconveniencing only a portion of Canadian citizens, while getting their point across to Canada Post to come to the negotiating table in good faith.

This move on Canada Post's part seems to me like s spoiled kid grabbing their ball and saying "If you don't want to play my way, I'm taking my ball and going home!".

Oh and for your sake Alisa...I hope this gets resolved quickly!! :)

Alisa, if applicable, You Might want to contact your creditors and landlord etc. ahead of time to see if they will allow you some additional time to make payment on your dues free of late charge penalties and/or god forbid, credit point dings. Why should you take the hit? ;)

I was going to say something about governments in relation to business practices, but we'll refrain from doing so at this time. :horse:

Best to ya! :)
