Who is your favorite singer / musical group?

My favorite female singer is Shania Twain. She has a great voice, strong determination (she had to raise her siblings after her parents died in a car crash when she was in her 20's), creative writer, not arrogant about her fame, stunningly beautiful, etc. Her divorce with former husband, Lange is unfortunate and unexpected. I can not wait for this years American Idol, because she is supposed to be a guest judge.

My favorite male singer is Weird Al Yankovic. He always comes up with funny lyics. I especially like his songs about food, Star Wars, and constipation.
I do not know as much about him as I do about Shania Twain, though.

I believe that both are able to sing different styles of music without losing their main target audience.

I do not have a favorite musical group.

At this paticular moment. It's St. Vincent. This band is really just singer and song writer Annie Clark who is sort of like a female Trent Reznor. I have not heard of her until her second album "Actor" was released. This album is amazing and the only way to discribe it is to say that it's like watching a sweet light hearted "Disney" movie merged with something more horrific and disturbing like Texas Chainsaw Massacre(1974 version)
