I don't watch much comedy anymore,but there are a couple of guys that I think are funny.
Louis CK has made me laugh since I was a teenager.
Daniel Tosh's stand up is pretty funny to me.Surprised that no one has mentioned him yet.
And believe it or not,Bob Sagat if pretty fucking funny when he's off the network leash.

Andronicus mentioned Mike Birbiglia, I second it. He's hilarious, and I recommend his book if you've ever got 2-3 hours to kill somewhere. I'll also add Demitri Martin. I'm starting to get sick of the musical instrument comics, but he and Zach were two of the first, and they never came off as a gimmick.

You know, at one of the comedy clubs in LA, they have 2 different lights? There's the light they give the comic to let them know to wrap their set up, and another red light they shine when Robin Williams shows up, so the comic on stage knows he's in the building, and to switch to crowd work so Williams doesn't steal their jokes.
Patton Oswalt still makes me laugh my ass off.

Not at all. Giraldo was performing at the first real live comedy show I ever went to. He's very well respected. People like Vos, and Lange is a veteran comic. I'd say you have better taste than you're giving yourself credit for.

Anymore it seems the entertainment I find is so passe and get criticized. I've watched some of the new comedians if I catch them on and it seems they all rely more on profanity than actual content and a ending punchline that provides laughs. In one case I want to like Katt Williams but I can't stand hearing motherfuck, fuck, and ***** every other word! It gets old and unfunny within ten or so minutes.
