South of the border of Denmark, we Germans really have some serious issues regarding those pirates on our hands.

You see, the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea is siitng in Hamburg.

Now the first process on pirates since 400 years is going on. Some of the Somalis claim they are underage... and of course, they are very eager to become good german citizens.

If this goes through, we will get a shitload of them over in the next years.

You are right, ANY person that sets sail for there should have to sign a paper that he is on his own there.

Another thing that kind of sickens me though is that we've become so used to being the victims that hardly anybody has a bad word to say about the pieces of shit who commit these crimes. nada word. we've either lost our pride or our balls, probably both.

I agree. The adults who took their children sailing off Somalia in 2011 should should definitely be punished if/when they get out of this intact.

How many boats sail off the East Coast and how many actually get hijacked?...

It's not like it's 100% certain that you're going to get hijacked, it's still very unlikely.

It's not like it's 100% certain that you're going to get hijacked, it's still very unlikely.

Apparently, up until now, a random tourist boat never got captured, but it still seems like a really, really bad idea, doesn't it?

Listen, I'm from Quebec. The description I just gave is pretty much winter here!

I also happen to like extreme cold, darkness, black music (ALWAYS = sulky, slutty goth girls!), liver-shredding booze. The suicide I can do without. Unless it's other people's. Then it's fine.

I am srsly considering my next vacation to be a Sweden-Norway-Finland trek.

Is the suicide rate there really that high? I have heard it referenced before in other posts as well.
