I put Bill Keane (Family Circus) in the same category as the cartoonist that does "For Better or Worse". It's for those who read Reader Digest. He had some that I thought were good but not necessarily funny.

But I totally forgot about Guy Berkeley Breathed (Bloom County) and Bill Watterson (Calvin & Hobbes) in my list.

I'm going to stick mainly with books:

Frank Herbert
Neil Gaiman
Douglas Coupland
Bill Watterson
Dan Abnett

They are the ones off the top of my head. I am sure there are more but I just can't think of them right now.

Special Operations FOX-HOUND
I can't believe no one has mentioned J.R.R Tolkien

I've been blasting thru Nelson DeMille's books. Great reads

Props to L3ggy on the man who created bilbo baggins.

I liked Tom Clancy in the 90's.

Love David McCollough. Fantastic

Clive Cussler is good for mental floss (and toilet paper some times).

E.B. Sledge wrote himself one heck of a book.
