White House Responds to Petition

I'm fiscally conservative and don't see a problem with protecting these guys. I think we have a national duty to do so. They still serve the public. They do hold secrets. Plus I don't think any private security firm is equipped to handle the job. They just don't have access to the intelligence needed for proper protection. I will agree with you on your original point. We already spend way too much money on foreign aid. The Moon Jews can well afford to develop their own Death Star with private funding.

If a petition to the white house gets more than 30,000 signatures the president is required to address the issue. It's great that someone realized something like this could distract the people they're supposed to be serving for a short while and they succeeded. It's good to see that not everyone in the regime is a humorless dick.

Yeah, well it was a bad day yesterday....

I do apologize for being a snotty little twat.

Mayhem, I feel your wrong about the high horse statement, for the most part. I have strong opinions. I can see how you get that impression when it comes to the gun threads, but for the most part, I do not. I disagree, it is an unnecessary cost. 10 years free ride is enough, they come into office rich, and leave wealthy, they make millions off of their position, their power. They can afford to hire private security. Not to mention the hypocrisy factor....his secret service agents aren't restricted by law on what they'll be able to own, or carry.

To be honest, I had not seen or heard one single fucking thing about this, until this thread, and didn't do any research.

Wow, well done my friend. I've currently repped you so I can't do so again. I've had bad days here meself, so I can't say anything when the same happens to others.

There was a time in this world when everyone had seen Star Wars. Everyone. And some of us had seen it multiple, multiple times in the theaters. That day has passed. So that was my wise-ass response to you not knowing what the Death Star was.

You are man enough to admit something you don't know, I guess I need to man-up and do the same. I thought it was already a law that past Presidents has life-long Secret Service protection. I Googled after your post and was completely surprised at this.

We can disagree on this. I honestly couldn't care less. But for my part, I think it's a reasonable part of their pension plan. And if it didn't happen, one day some terrorist/idiot/nutjob/whatever would take a swing at a past President. Then it would be all about, "Hey, why aren't we protecting them?" You do make a valid point about them paying their own way, but it's not just the people, it's the Office.

I do, once again, appreciate you making this post. Not everyone here would have the balls to do it. Well done.

I appreciate the thought.

I do know what the Star Wars death star was, I've seen all of them...I just never heard of a petition to actually build one! Jesus, that's freaking nutty!

You know what I think part of the problem is? I mean in general with the whole board dynamic. For so long, we were under a pretty strict set of rules...we weren't really permitted to disagree, in an in-polite way. We would disagree, and grit our teeth as we typed something as far from the fuck you we really wanted too. But now, we have a little more free reign, which I'm glad for, but it's like OH BOY!!!!!! WE CAN YELL!!!! So we let out all of that pent up shit, and sometimes we forget that we really don't want to get THAT nutty, but still wanna vent a little. We all have bad days, yesterday was my turn, I appreciate your comments, and thanks for understanding.
