I would go with the bow & arrow, but I've always sucked at shooting bows. So I'll go with "Other" and make it a cross bow. My other choice for "Other" would be a Roman Legion. A group of 5,000 well trained Romans was about the best weapon a fellow could have... "back in the day."

I've got a few swords as well: a couple are decorative medieval fantasy pieces, a katana, a machette, and a real Japanese naval officer's sword from the 1930s-1940s.

Swords are simply beautiful, elegant. And, given a choice, I would prefer to take it a step further and have my very own lightsaber (with a blue blade)! Not as clumsy or random as a blaster; an elegant weapon for a more civilized age.

Tika Waylan made great use of a heavy, cast-iron frying pan. If I couldn't use a sword, the frying pan would be my trusty backup. It's especially useful for bashing down Baaz draconians and not worry about it getting stuck in the stone corpse afterward.
