Which Summer Blockbuster are You Most Excited For?

I'm legitimately looking forward to The Dark Knight Rises, and I'm kind of/not really looking forward to Joss Whedon screwing the pooch on The Avengers. I don't think he can pull it off.

I actually want to go see all of them except for G.I. Joe, and maybe Battleship. I grew up with the G.I. Joe 80's cartoon, toys, and Marvel comic, so I didn't feel good about the first movie and refused to see it. With Battleship, I just have this nagging feeling that will turn out to be another Skyline.

The first G.I. Joe was a huge pile of shit. It had nothing to do with the series or the toy line. The new one actually looks a lot better from a fan's standpoint. More action, more military, and apparently a cameo by Sgt. Slaughter. How could you say no?

Battleship, though? Yeah, that's going to blow. Some things you just shouldn't make a movie out of.

I don't know. For all the great movies Ridley Scott has made he's had a bunch of average movies in the past decade. Robin Hood, Body of Lies, Kingdom of Heaven, etc... That said, I don't think it'll disappoint. He's at his best when he can create huge, imaginary worlds, so I think Prometheus will be his best movie since Blade Runner.

Make sure to take some dramamine, especially for the last one. It's completely filmed in that stupid "shaky-cam" gimmick.
