Which movie is gorier

The Second-Hottest Man in my Mother's Basement
Cannibal Holocaust is defintely gorier. It is the single most disturbing movie i ever seen. I seen a lot.

Ever see the movie Salo?

I'd vote for Cannibal Holocaust. The sad part is that the worst gore in that movie is the death of animals.

i'd vote for cannibal holocaust for gore and beyond the darkness for creepiness. both are good times tho. i don't think cannibal holocaust would be remembered much if it hadn't been for it getting banned in several countries tho.

Yes, fella, I'm aware. The meat I eat is NOT from supermarkets. I only buy from farmers I know (even in London - I buy from small-time farmers whose production and slaughter is carefully monitored: organic and slow-grown).

Same here. I mean, the government controls over animals and meat are pretty high here, but still.

The "animal violence" is the part that disturbs me the most in Cannibal Holocaust, too. It's in most cases kinda pointless. If it were prop animals, it would be a different thing. And it has nothing to do with slaughtering animals for eating purposes or with the taste of their flesh. I grew up in a rather small village, where we kids could actually watch the butcher "work", my father was a huntsman/rifleman (whatever term is used in English, I don't know) and forest ranger (second job) and we always had chicken or rabbits/hares. So I've seen a lot of animal "killing and slaughter", which probably sounds more horrible than it actually is. But none of this disturbed me even slightly as much as the killing of real animals in movies like Cannibal Holocaust. And it's kinda sad if you fail to see the difference.

Btw, Master_Gio, the movie you're talking about is called "Premutos" and it's a typical Ittenbach movie. Probably a little bit more brutal than some of his other movies, but not more brutal than for example Burning Moon which has actually been "confiscated/impounded" (I don't know how you call it, "beschlagnahmt", that means taken of the market by the government; media censorship light by the German government so to speak).

Really? I just typed that in to google and they have several clips on youtube supposedly "uncensored". Having watched one, it does not seem all that bad, the director likes to use a lot of fake blood but nothing that extreme.

:dunno:

Yep, he definitely likes to use a lot of fake blood. :D
But it's kinda hard to believe, that there are "uncensored" scenes on youtube, because the movie was released with, I think, 13 minutes cut from it. Could you send me the links via pm? If they even work...could very well be, that I can't open them or the stream won't work, as the movie is impounded here.

But maybe I was a little bit misunderstood, too. I wasn't trying to argue Master_Gios point, that Premutos is a good and enjoyable gore movie, because it really is kinda fun and stupid but still gory as hell. He's certainly right about that. What I meant to say was, that these things (the stupidity and exaggerated depictions) don't necessarily make Premutos more brutal. The killings in Burning Moon for example may not always be as gory (although some are), but they are mostly more brutal, because Ittenbach still tried to make it look "gruesome" and realistic. And in my opinion, if a violent murder looks realistic on screen, it is often more brutal than an obviously exaggerated, gory depiction of it.
Hmm, I hope I could get my point across...

That's one of the reasons why I believe that Zack Snyder's "Dawn of the Dead" remake is one of the best and most brutal zombie movies ever made, even though it is a "big screen" zombie movie. It works better and is more realistic (from the first to the last second) than most movies if not any other movie about zombies or infected people (besides 28 Days Later probably).
