which gun do you own?

Courtesy of my grandfather and his time in WWII, I illegally posses two handguns I have yet to fire. They are stored at a safe place until I get the required permits.

My favorite, a Colt 1900 .38 ACP 'Automatic Colt Pistol'

And a 1800s St Etienne revolver

Sadly, my grandfather had his MP40 seized before he left for home. DAMN!

And if I had some lotto money, I would do just about anything to get one of these...

Stg_44.jpg

Saiga 12 gauge semiauto shotgun with 20 rnd drum.
Vector V51 .308 pistol with 30 round magazine.
Ak Pistol
Ak-47 Romanian
Norinco Uzi
S&W Model 500 revolver.
FN-Fal
Charter Arms .22 mag revolver

WISh for:

A short Tromix Saiga Shotgun with Galil handgaurd and folding stock.
A Galil, a Galil sniper rifle with Nimrod Scope.
Barrette 50 cal, semi-auto, and since I am wishing, a GE minigun with around 100,000 rounds or so of .308
I'd also like to have my IMI uzi back that my ex-wife sold and the Daewoo Dr 200 that I sold so I could have money for an expensive Halloween costume. It's true that a fool and his money are soon seperated.

Fuck! Wish list? You better get bigger servers for mine! Seriously though, the following are a few I will never own, but would like to.

1) Tommy gun (gangster style early '20's model)
2) Browning Automatic Rifle (14 '40'2 military model)
3) H&K MP5 (collapsible stock, suppressed)
4) Barret M82 .50 caliber

The list of what I would like, and may, or may not own, depending on finances etc., is way to long to post.

boobmanz

I love big booty too!
Since I live in a country where even kitchen knives are up for debate whether to make them illegal I obviously posess none.

If high-tech weapons are eliminated from the market, then "urban criminals" will have more incentive to "protect" their weapons and not use them out of fear of losing them or having them stolen. Plus, the "black market" for high tech weapons will either dry up or will become incredibly expensive, since there will be no *future* supply of high tech weapons entering the marketplace (unless Smith&Wesson ignore the order to stop manufacturing mass murder weapons).

What exactly do you consider a "high-tech weapon"? Rifle technology hasn't really changed that much since 1898 and handgun technology has only improved marginally since 1908.

^ Those Saigas are a storm !! :D

So we're doing wish lists too, huh ? Fine ! :D

I'd want an M21 built from the ground up with as many TRW fitted parts as possible.

Then a Robar SR90 in 7mmWSM

Finally a hand picked Sig 210

That's All :D

If you want a reliable, accurate and heavy duty shotgun, take a mossberg 590 a1 mariner in the 9 shot version http://www.mossberg.com/images/Mossberg_Guns/930/New/50299.jpg (which is useful if you live in an environment where corrosion and rain are present),the 590 a1 special purpose with a a heavy walled barrel and ghost sight rings are ideal if you want a mil spec proven shot gun http://www.mossberg.com/images/Mossberg_Guns/930/New/51663.jpg . The mossberg pump guns outlast any italian made pump guns like benellis, franchis and also outlast russian saiga shotguns in terms reliability over the long run. What pump gun is the most used by American law enforcement agencies and the military forces? The mossberg 590 a1.
Concerning the springfield m21, I prefer the m1a1 super match fitted with a mac millan fibreglass camo stock and with a douglas premium hand gauged barrel http://www.springfield-armory.com/armory.php?version=53 or the super match m1a1 with a black mac millan fiberglass stock version and the douglas premium hand gauged heavy barrel http://www.springfield-armory.com/armory.php?version=52. After that all you need is a leupold mark4 military scope, a harris bipod and black hills or corbon ammo.

^ These kinds of firearms seem real BOSS at the time of purchase but they really don't have much real life practicality. Neat today and in the pawn shop tomorrow.

Here's an L . A . R . Grizzley in .45 Winchester Magnum, sorta the same as the D.E. in that they're both BIG, they're overpowered and they have too much recoil for self def. purposes.

The desert eagle in 50 a.e. can be a very good defensive weapon if the person who shoots it is well trained. A bullet of 50 a.e.makes twice the power of a 44magnum and it can pierce a class II and even class III bullet proof vest. You also have the 460 s&w magnum, 480 Ruger Maximum, 475 Wildey Magnum, 454 Casull, 500 Wyoming Express, 444 Marlin, 50 Beowulf and 500 s&w magnum that also have a very amazing muzzle energy and velocity, they are what one will cal big game calibers or first shot first kill calibers. Any good shooter with revolvers in these calibers can kill an elk or a moose at 50 or 100 yards.

The Desert Eagle is probably one of the worst defensive handgun somebody could have. It's heavy, bulky, hard to conceal, and because it's action uses a gas operated rotating bolt instead of the traditional slide action that almost every other pistol uses, and tries to fit large cases into an automatic action, it has one of the highest malfunctioning rates among guns. It was made for metallic silhouette shooting, not self defense. Every thing it might do well, which isn't a lot, is done better by a revolver if you want cartridges that large. It's biggest claim to fame is that it's used in a lot of movies because it's big. Which is why so many people that don't know anything about guns like it, or think it's good.

The .50AE does not have twice the power of a .44 Magnum, at least not for the most normal range of cartridge weights that might be used for them.

I agree. In fact, when I bought my DE...about 17 years ago, The first thing I thought of was, "DAMN, I would do more damage hitting a mother fucker over the head with this thing!" It has less then 1000 rounds through it, and to this day, it's only purpose is to say, "hey guys, check this big bastard out"! My friends ask me to bring it shooting once and a while, and they all split the cost of a box of shells, and have at it...then I get to clean it! I will say this though, if I were defending myself against a grizzly, or another large wild animal while fishing or camping in the wilderness...I could see a reason to carry a .500 S&W, or a .454 Casull. I wouldn't rely on an auto loader, as has been mentioned, but extra large bullets would make me feel safer.

I swear I wasn't looking for this, but since a fellow member sent me a little note agreeing with me about how great it would be to have a B.A.R., I had to post it.

It's a thumb, so you can see her....uh, it better.

Maybe they won't, but what about regulating them to such extremes, that merely taking them to a shooting range would be a crime, or loading your own ammo would be a crime, or the fact that they want a data base of EVERY gun owner in the country...and make no mistake, that's EXACTLY how Hitler did what he did. Please don't tell me it's ok if they pass an assault weapons ban, because "there is no reason to own a gun like that". Please don't tell me that when people carry guns, it will turn our towns into a wild west shoot outs. Because the fact is, plain and simple, if you honestly believe that our government DOESN'T want you disarmed, you are sadly mistaken, and naive. If you value your right to bare arms, you WILL be vigilant of EVERY move they make, because each one, is a little step forward to their ultimate goal...and they ARE working on it, REAL hard.

No, just generally ignorant of the facts and data that's in front of them, and unrelenting in their efforts to selfishly squash the rights of honest, hard working, law abiding people that choose to exercise them, and enjoy several hobbies, and preventative measures.

I hope you are wrong, but I have heard very little about the current adminstration doing anything with gun laws. They really dont want to touch it and it is a lose/lose. People that sell them should thank them, guns sales are through the roof due to errant rumours.
