Being emotional is not a great quality in someone expected to be objective. I've seen it first-hand. Hell, I've experienced it. The problem is that once you become emotionally involved in something, you will no longer be able to tell if you're about to delete something because it's unsuitable for the board or because you think it unsuitable. The less capable you are of distancing yourself, the less will you be able to do, or the more likely you are to make bad decisions. Empathy is great, the trick is to not become personally involved.
Anyway, this board is not a very demanding one. The rules are fairly clear-cut, language is for the most part unrestricted and given the topic you can expect at least a certain amount of maturity among the posters (given that you have to be 18-21 to join, though I think we all know that claiming that there are no younger people here is a blatant lie).
