When ISP's turn bad...

here is the text anyway

A ROW between two large service providers left large portions of the worldwide wibbly web unable to connect.
The spat, between Level 3 Communications and rival Cogent Communications, meant that their customers could not talk to each other, visit each others websites or send email. Some have been unable to connect since Tuesday.

It broke Time Warner Road Runner cable-modem service and breaks tons of rules about Interweb access.

Level 3 said that it was handling too much Cogent traffic for nothing and threw its toys out of the pram.

Cogent's Schaeffer said Level 3 was simply trying to get Cogent to raise its prices which were lower than the market average.

Both companies are saying that they will not budge and lawyers are engaged so it will probably run and run.
