Sadly this kind of crap has been going on for years. One of the first things my fellow drivers taught me when I started driving a truck in the early 70's was to watch out for assholes standing on bridges because they were almost always up to no good. They said if you saw someone standing there change lanes if you could under the bridge.

Back in the early 70's, there was also a lot of union stuff going on. Drivers would get yanked out of tractors at gun point. I wasn't a driver at that time, but it could be dangerous, if you said or did the wrong thing. Actually, with all of the bullshit they've dumped on the industry over the last decade, another Jimmy Hoffa might be what the industry needs.

The problem for me is, they changed the law. This guy committed crimes, and was punished, he should do his time. The law should NEVER make allowances for helping another to help commit murder, and laws regarding things like this should NEVER be reduced. In fact, they should be stricter, and their goal should be to reduce the crime rate as time goes on. Maybe put those collecting welfare to work, building more prisons. Just a thought.
