When has it been hardest to support your team?

This past season with my Chicago Cubs. From my being a fan since 1976 this team was rotten to the core from the front office/ownership, manger and coaches, too many high salaried veterens that did not hustle, performed at an career low pitching was batting practice in all phasrs. I can not go any further, my rage will flair up.

2001-2002 UNC Tar Heels basketball. 8-20 record that year. A perennial power most years.

I am a Miami Dolphins fan also. Need I say more.

Seriously?? The Tar Heels had 1 bad year, and that was tough on you? Give me a break, BC. That 1 bad year, you thought about changing teams? That 1 bad year you thought, maybe it's not worth the stress to follow these guys anymore? No Tar Heels fan knows what it's like to lose faith. They are a perennial powerhouse, guaranteed to be reloaded with the best talent in the nation the next year.

My answer was supporting Florida Gators football in the early late 90s and early 00s, but for different reasons. I was young, and all I knew was the Gators dominating the SEC. So whenever we lost, particularly against trashy ass Tennessee, it would really, really upset me to the point it ruined the entire season. It was too stressful. I invest much less emotionally now to the Gators.

Btw, BMH, when the hell is Lennon gonna be canned? Bring back O'Neill.

The Redwings have been good my entire life.
The Lakers are the Lakers.
The 49ers haven't been Shit long enough for me to lose hope. Plus I've seen them win a Super Bowl.
It's hard to be a Jays fan because the whole system in MLB is fucked.

lol at Canadians rooting for Americans. :cthulhu:

My teams? I've been blessed I suppose being in MN. The Wolves and Wild have only been here 20 and 10 respectively. I was a baby when the Twinks won it in 91 and 87, and the Queens have never won it. College hockey has been good (UMD last year, UM '02 and '03) but nobody watches that. It's alright. I think all our teams now are pretty good.

Never thought about changing teams. But they had a couple of lean years under Matt Doherty. It was very hard to support him. Your point is well taken.

I'm a cowboys fan. After seeing them blowing a 20+ lead against the Lions two weeks ago, it seems this season is going to be the hardest to root for them. It seems like it may be a looooooong short season for them.

tartanterrier

Is somewhere outhere.
Being a Watford fan, this season has been pretty shit so far.I think if we
don't get relegated to League One this season,it will be a great escape :1orglaugh

C'mon you horns

I only have to say one thing to top everyone else, without need to menton any particular incidents:
I'm a Chicago Cubs fan. :crying:

I abandoned Dallas when Jerry Jones fired Jimmy Johnson.

*To clarify, that was the beginning of the end for me. I stuck with the team for a few years, but after the core of the Super Bowl teams retired and Romo became the permanent starter, I gave up and won't be a Cowboys fan again until Jerry Jones sells the team or dies. Can't support, "Th-Uh Texans" so I'm basically a free agent during football season, when the Oilers left Houston, I was done with football from H-Town and after the Astros cheating scandal, I'm done with baseball from Houston, too. I support all three NBA teams from Texas, but my two teams now are The Spurs in the NBA and The Rangers in MLB. I was a "whoever is playing the Patriots fan", but since Brady left, I don't know, I still hate Belichick.

Not sure about the exact date but there a few years, in the mid 2000' when it was extremely difficult to support PSG : The team was horrible, the results were terrible, the coach was a jerk, the president was incompetent... And, follwing some riots that happened after a match, a fan died
