IMO there is nothing more exciting that football. The players are known all around the world. It is also easily the biggest sport in the world. I mean everyone has heard of people like Lionel Messi, Christiano Ronaldo, David Beckham etc etc, or clubs like Barcelona, real madrid and man u.

Biggest sport in the world? No doubt. Most exciting? No way. It lacks the final drive of American football. The last second shot of basketball. The 7 game series/overtime of hockey. Soccer also lacks the "big play" that the other sports have. The womens final was a great match, but IMO, it's not consistently exciting, especially compared to other sports.

That womens final was quite good but there is nothing more exciting to watch than barcelona. The way they play is so exciting as they never play a ball more than 5 feet away. Lionel Messi is exciting as he plays such entertaining football, going round 5 or 6 defenders every time he gets the ball. I think it is more entertaining than American football and basketball because of the flair of so many players or the skills that say christiano Ronaldo has. It is constantly back and forth and it is so exciting to watch the best teams and players win. I have never watched American football so i cant really comment on it but IMO you cannot get any better than football.

I could counter that with the fact that some people don't care about the entire basketball or football game, they'll just tune in at the last two minutes of a basketball game or the same for football. I disagree with the statement of soccer lacks the big play. Abby Wambach scored in the 122nd minute of extra time, it doesn't get any bigger than that.
American Football. I grew up playing sandlot lol.

I have never watched baseball for more than like 10 mins. It seems really boring to me. I dont know as i dont watch it but it seems all you have to do is hit a ball and run round bases, With some people getting to run round all bases in one go because they hit a ball into the croud, or others getting to walk to the next base because of the number of foul balls. I could be wrong though, as i say i never watch it.
To watch: Any internationally sanctioned events (WC, Olympics)
