What's your favorite documentary

Sometimes I get tired of the regular trash that comes out,so I always look for a good documentary to watch.I find it amazing, the dedication of the filmmakers to be able to finish telling some of these stories that sometimes take years to film.Hoop Dreams is a perfect example, and probably my favorite.

Anything Adam Curtis does is always good.

The Trap
The Power of Nightmares
The Century of the Self
Pandoras Box
. . . etc

The top two being the best of the lot in my opinion.

Others:

No Direction Home: Bob Dylan
Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room
The Corporation
Grizzly Man
Jesus Camp
One Day in September
The Fog of War

I love documentaries, but those are just some of the ones that come to my mind when I think of my favorites.

FYI - Even if you **** the New York Yankees, watch Nine Innings From Ground Zero. It's one of the most touching and heartfelt documentaries that I've seen in a long, long while.

I like most of the stuff they show on the History Channel.

Try this website Premium Link Upgrade or type bbciplayer into google they usually have good documentrys on here but the BBC always do good docs , just find the factual part & have a look & it updates quite often

I love nature programmes so anything with David Attenborough is usually excellent hes done programmes like :

The Blue Planet

Planet Earth

Natures Great Event

Too name a few , so if you see anything with his name in it , its worth a watch :)

Okay, the Adam Curtis stuff will not interest you then. Although you can watch most of them on google video, usually in 3 one hour long videos.
After watching The Trap: What Happened to Our ***** of Freedom I curled up under my duvet & didn't leave the house for 3 months! :(

Planet Earth is a stunning documentary. Encyclopedia Galactica is also very good. Discovery Channel aired it some years ago and my ******* recorded all episodes wich we recently watched.

I love a lot of docs. One I'd recommend is Word Wars. Great stuff.
