Batman Begins for me.
I have never heard of him.
I am dead serious.you can't be serious, BigSwede!
i mean, really ?
or you're just fuckin' around?
I am dead serious.
I know a couple of the titles, but I don't know who he is.
Is Christopher Nolan the Greatest Director Alive?
[BlueBalls' answer]
..... no.
who, then ? :dunno:
Martin Scorsese
David Lynch
The Coen Brothers
Paul Thomas Anderson
Michael Mann
Francis Ford Coppola
Michael Haneke
Steven Spielberg
Darren Aronofsky
Werner Herzog
Clint Eastwood
I would say that Ang Lee is a better (and more versatile) director than all of those.Well of course any answer I give is going to be of my own opinion, but:
Martin Scorsese
David Lynch
The Coen Brothers
Paul Thomas Anderson
Michael Mann
Francis Ford Coppola
Michael Haneke
Steven Spielberg
Darren Aronofsky
Werner Herzog
Clint Eastwood
... these are just a few examples of film makers who I think have made greater films than he has.
nice list, BB
but i strongly disagree with Lynch (hugely over-rated mumbo-jumbo confusion), Haneke (boring as hell, not to mention tooooooo sloooooow rythm-films) and Herzog (Aguirre is still his strongest effort? c'mon...)
and you're damn right about picking just one.
I would say that Ang Lee is a better (and more versatile) director than all of those.
I agree with that Aguirre is my favourite of his. But he's still alive and he goes on my list.
I've probably left people out. But the general point was made.

BlueBalls said:Kinda not my point. But no matter...
Nolan is most assuredly one of the more promising and noteworthy director's to have come out of this decade.
Well, it's all very subjective.
Anyway, it's only one article I don't know how it became a "thing"? But then again this is FreeOnes after all, we shouldn't wonder about such things.
